What’s New in Kaamfu: Smarter Dashboards & Smoother Collaboration

Kaamfu just became a little snappier. In this release, we’ve perfected the way you monitor progress, work in real time, and control team settings—with additions that bring more clarity and authority to your day-to-day flow. From a new flow diagram to smoother conversations and more powerful role-based controls, each update has made the platform all the more perfect. Here’s an overview of what’s new.

Visualize Workflow with the new Cumulative Flow Diagram

The Board-level dashboard has always been the center-point for managers to review project progress, but without visuals. So, we’ve now introduced the Cumulative Flow Diagram (CFD) to help midline members get an overview of project progress, and drill down deeper if needed.

This interactive visual shows the progress of tasks across Item Groups in a Board. Moreover, this diagram provides better analysis on not just the team-level but also individuals, through color-coded groups, hover tooltips, and a collapsible design, making it easier to identify both bottlenecks and progress in a Board.

Chat options just got better

The Conversations Panel allows better communication than before. We’ve removed redundant chat options and maintained only those that really matter. The Copy feature is now solid and functional, allowing quicker communicational references.

Behind the scenes, conversations are smoother to load, and typing indicators are more responsive. These little adjustments help collaboration feel quicker, more responsive, and better aligned to how teams actually work.

A Dashboard That Works with You

Dashboards are an essential component of visual representation, and thus we want you to grab the most out of the Board-level dashboard in just a glimpse. You can now see the total effort spent on a Board at the very top, giving you a quick view of overall progress. Vital elements like the CFD and the overview row on the top of the dashboard are made collapsible so you can customize it for a more decluttered view.

Additionally, the top row includes an admin corner so you and your managers can view admin-level members without performing multiple clicks. These changes keep teams productive while making key information available at a glance.

More Automation, More Control

You asked and we listened. Our reporting system allows you to dive into deeper workflow insights, but without a timezone, the data could get scattered. To resolve this, we now allow Organization Owners to define the timezone for the whole workspace, making it easier and more reliable to schedule, thereby improving reporting standards.

Being the topline of an organization comes with never-ending responsibilities, and workday scheduling only adds to the chaos. Thus, we have introduced new role-based controls that allow Organization Owners to determine who can initiate or end the workday—preventing accidental overlaps or pauses.

Effort where you can see it

We’ve extended effort visibility throughout the Work panel—so you get a clearer picture of where time is being spent without switching views. Now, when you browse through Spaces, Boards, or Items, effort data is surfaced right alongside your existing context.

On the Spaces view, you’ll see the total effort along with the number of Boards, Items, Members. On Boards as well, we’ve added total effort next to the count of items and members. And for Items, when you toggle on detail mode, each one shows its cumulative effort. This means less digging for insight and more awareness—right where you need it, when you need it.

Final Word

Kaamfu is built around the belief that your workforce is better managed when your midline has more control, and this update carries that belief forward. By refining our existing features and further simplifying the interface, we’re enhancing control where it matters the most. Ultimately, the goal is helping teams stay aligned, focused, and ready for what’s next. Our evolution keeps getting better and we can’t wait to introduce the next set of updates with you. Stay tuned!
