Work management in Kaamfu is all about tracking work from progress to completion. The Work Panel aligns with this by displaying task and member numbers on Spaces and Boards. But we recognized the absence of a vital metric – total effort or time spent in a Space or Board. The latest update fills this void by displaying the total time spent in each Space and Board. It’s a small but visible change so topline members can instantly analyze if the effort matches priorities.
A clearer view for daily decisions
Until now, the subpanels in the Work panel have offered basic summary metrics:
- Spaces showed the number of boards, items, and members.
- Boards showed the number of items and members.
These icons already helped scan structural load—but they were missing one critical layer: total effort. That’s where this enhancement comes in.
We’ve now added Total Effort (in hh:mm) to each Space and Board object, so you can quickly see the time investment across your workspace.

The effort value appears as a clean time marker (e.g., 09:14) next to a clock icon—just like the other metrics. It blends into the layout without adding noise.
Why It Matters for Crownlines and Midlines
For Crownlines (organization owners), this new detail helps you detect imbalances at a glance. Are certain Spaces drawing too much effort without enough return? Are heavily invested Boards tied to key priorities? Now you can get that signal directly from your overview screen—without digging through reports or dashboards.
For Midlines (project managers, team leads), total effort tells you what headcount and item counts cannot. You can quickly see:
- If a small team is overworking in a high-effort Space
- If a Board is receiving disproportionate attention
- Whether effort aligns with the intended focus areas
It’s a quick gut check, built right into where you already work.
The Broader Impact
This may seem like a lightweight addition—but it upgrades the information density of the Work panel in a meaningful way. Instead of just knowing what exists (Boards, Items, Members), you now see how much energy is being spent across different work areas at a glance. It enables management to do smarter scans of the Spaces or Boards subpanels.
It also reflects Kaamfu’s core belief: visibility isn’t enough—control depends on clarity.
