Kaamfu aims at easing team management and giving organizations full control over the workspace. We want to reduce the responsibilities of organization owners by allowing easy delegation. This includes simple tasks like workday control—a vital setting for remote teams. Our latest release resolves workday bottlenecks by allowing owners to delegate this task. Employers can also determine what time zone the workspace operates in. All this is now possible through a simple new setting right within the Kaamfu interface.
Why This Matters
Kaamfu isn’t just another productivity tool in the market. It’s a Work Control System that eliminates ambiguity around work initiation, progress, and completion.
We initially had workday settings that bottlenecked at the workspace owner. This clashed with Kaamfu’s philosophy of giving the right people control. The new settings reinforce this philosophy by allowing workspace owners to configure settings in a few clicks.
What’s New: The “Workday” Settings Section
We’ve added a dedicated Workday section inside the Settings panel, now visible to all workspace owners. From here, you can define the rhythm of your workspace by configuring three new controls:
1. Timezone Selector
You can now set the official time zone of your workspace through a simple selector. This ensures accurate reports and analytics—especially for globally diverse teams.
The selector lists global time zones, so you can select one that best fits your operational hours. Once set, it becomes the reference point across all time-sensitive workflows in Kaamfu.
2. “Can Start the Workday” Access
Do some of your team members want to start work earlier than others? You can now delegate workday privileges by adding them to this setting. Once set, the following applies to the selected members:
- Only users on this list will see the Workday button in the web interface.
- Workspace administrators are automatically added by default.
This gives operational flexibility without creating access chaos. You can scale control across your organization while keeping responsibility clearly defined.
3. “Can Stop the Workday” Access
Similar to start access, you can now assign who can end the workday. This is especially valuable in shift-based teams where end-of-day closure happens locally. The following are applicable to this setting:
- Users added here can manually stop the workday.
- Workspace administrators are automatically included.
This setting eliminates loose ends—ensuring proper workday closure, even when the workspace owner isn’t online.
How this enforces Kaamfu as a Work Control System
The new settings re-emphasize that Kaamfu allows organizations to decide and control how work unfolds. That shows up in three ways:
- Decentralized operational control:
You don’t need top-down intervention to move work forward. Control can live with the people who are closest to the action. - Adaptability to flexible and distributed work:
Time zone setting + delegated access = smooth starts and ends, no matter where your teams are. - Built-in accountability at every layer:
By controlling who can start or stop the workday, you are reinforcing structure without micromanaging.
Final Note
We’re planning more workday settings soon—you’ll be able to automate workdays and even set a calendar. But for now, we’ve made workday management easier, especially for globally distributed teams. This update should give you exactly what you need to streamline daily rhythms, and future updates will give you more.
