Employee Backlogs #
Managing teams effectively requires tools that provide visibility into employee activities and progress. Kaamfu bridges this gap by offering advanced features like desktop screenshots and backlog tracking. This article will show how organization owners and team leaders can use these features to track productivity of employees and team members.
What is a Backlog? #
As the name suggests, a backlog depicts what an employee is currently working on. Kaamfu keeps track of every user’s activity by maintaining a log of all the tasks they have been working on or have completed.
How does it help an organization? #
Backlogs are necessary to track productivity and employee engagement. Kaamfu recognizes this need and thus has a dedicated section in the web application for backlogs. Organization owners can access in real-time what their employees are working on, while employees can see a consolidated view of all their tasks at any given time.
How to View Employee Backlogs? #
In Kaamfu, all of the backlogs can be easily viewed in the Team Panel. Users with the admin and owner membership can access the backlogs of their downline, i.e. team members working under them. For an employee, the Team Panel will display their own backlog in detail.
Step 1 – Logging in
Go to Kaamfu’s Web Application on your browser and log-in to your Kaamfu account (make sure you’re logging in with your owner/admin credentials).
Step 2 – Go to the Team Panel
Go to the Team section of the Navigation Panel on the left pane.
Step 3 – The Team Panel
The Team Panel will display a list of all your employees with a profile bubble and the name of the task they are working on. If an employee is not assigned a task yet, ‘No Task’ will be mentioned under their name.
Step 4 – Access the Backlog
Click on the employee whose backlog you wish to access.
Here you can view the backlogs of the user in the Backlog pane. Items that appear grayed out those which the employee has kept on pause or marked as completed. If the user is currently working on a task that was assigned to them, it will be highlighted here in green.
You will also see a breadcrumb here that displays the Space’s and Board’s to which the task belongs. These are clickable, which means that clicking on the Space or Board name will take you to its location in the Work Panel.
