Kaamfu Workstation Connect is a lightweight desktop application tailored for remote and hybrid teams. It captures real-time activity and work patterns, giving you valuable insights into how your team works—while keeping things simple and transparent for them.

What is Kaamfu Workstation Connect? #

The Workstation Connect application is Kaamfu’s desktop companion app that tracks worker activity and provides visibility into how time is spent during the workday. With real-time monitoring and intelligent productivity insights, it allows business owners and team managers to:

  • Track time spent on tasks and projects

  • Capture periodic screenshots of active desktops

  • Monitor mouse movement, clicks, and keyboard activity

  • Generate detailed user-level reports

Its core objective is to support a transparent, performance-driven workplace—helping teams identify productivity gaps and continuously improve. Kaamfu Workstation Connect is currently available for Windows OS. Once your team installs it, it monitors their desktop activity and time spent across tasks. The application captures screenshots every 3 minutes and logs keyboard and mouse activity—making it easier for you to track productivity without micromanaging. Mac and Linux versions are coming soon.

📌 Note: This application is currently available only for registered Kaamfu users on Windows OS. Access to the app is part of the signup process.

Who Can Download the Application? #

This application is designed for your team members who are part of your Kaamfu workspace. They need to download it so you can receive accurate reports on work hours and desktop activity.

All Windows users are prompted to download the app during the sign-up process. Without it, features like screenshots, time logs, and productivity insights won’t be available to you.

The Kaamfu team is actively working on rolling out versions for Mac and Linux users. We’ll notify all registered users once these versions become available.

How to set up the application? #

Setting up Workstation Connect is simple—it happens during the worker sign-up process. Here are the steps your employees need to follow to download and set it up.

Step 1: Sign Up on Kaamfu #

Your team members receive an invite from you to join Kaamfu. As they go through the sign-up process, they’re guided to download the Workstation Connect application (for Windows).

Step 2: Install the Application #

Once downloaded, the Workstation Connect application installs in just a few seconds by double-clicking the setup file and allowing the installation to happen.

Step 3: Login & Accept Privacy Terms #

Your team members will log in using their Kaamfu credentials and need to agree to our privacy terms before desktop monitoring begins.

   

Step 4: Monitoring Begins #

Once logged in, the app runs quietly in the background. It starts tracking mouse movements, clicks, keystrokes, and captures a screenshot every 3 minutes.

What are the steps to start monitoring your employees’ desktops? #

The Workstation Connect application is fully integrated into the Kaamfu platform. Here’s how it fits into your organization’s workflow:

Step 1: Create the Workspace #

Once you sign up and create a Kaamfu workspace, you can structure your work using Spaces, Boards, and Items.

You send out invites to your team. As they sign up, they install Workstation Connect.

Your team opens the Workstation Connect app and clicks ‘Start Workday’ to begin logging time and desktop activity.
