At Kaamfu, we believe that effective communication lies at the heart of a productive team. Our team has meticulously worked on designing contextual conversations with robust features. From message box options to conversation history, the conversation panel is packed with everything you need to get the talk going. Let’s explore these features in depth.
The Conversation Panel #
The right side of Kaamfu’s web application interface is dedicated to conversations. This is the Conversation Panel and it is based on contextual chats, a feature that sets Kaamfu apart from other work management tools. With dedicated chats to each item in Spaces, Boards, and Items, Kaamfu eliminates the chaos of scattered communication. The Conversation Panel is designed with minimal yet powerful options that aid in seamless chatting.
The Message Box #
This is where users can type and send messages, whether in a group or individual chat. The message box offers the following features:
- Type a message – As the name suggests, users can type their message in this space. Clicking Enter will send the message to the conversation.
- Request sections – Unique to Kaamfu, this section is where users can send our request in the conversation. Based on the purpose of the request, here there are three icons –
- Request support: This is helpful in large groups when you want help from a specific member. Just click this icon and select the member whose help you seek and they will get a notification of the same.
- Request status: This applies mainly to admins and owners when they have assigned a task to a member and wish to know the status of the same.
- Request attention: If you want to urgently ping a member or make sure they have read your message, click this icon and select the member. They will be notified about the same and can click Close Attention Request to acknowledge that they’ve seen your request.
- Attachment – Use this plus icon to send files in the conversation.
- Conversation – Click this icon to hide and unhide the conversation box.
- Membership – Clicking this icon will reveal all the members of the conversation.
Message options #
Once a message is sent, hover your cursor on it to see options:
- Reply
- Forward
- Copy
- Select
- Edit
- Delete
Floating Options #
As your cursor moves over messages in a conversation, there is a floating bubble with the following options:
Locate #
This icon is a quick way of locating where this conversation is in the Work Panel. Clicking it will take you to the Work panel. You will be taken to the specific Space/Board/Item this conversation belongs to.
Notes #
One of Kaamfu’s unique features is the Notes section. Every task created in the Items sub-panel has the option called Notes, click which will take you to the notes written about the item by any member who’s added to the task.
Backlog #
This icon takes you to the backlog of this conversation. Clicking it will take you to the Team panel in the Navigation Panel. It is useful for owners or managers to quickly view the complete backlog of this task in the Team Panel.
Conversation history #
This little icon comes handy for those who are involved in a lot of chats on a daily basis. You can access conversation histories by clicking on the tiny clock icon located near the Conversations icon at the bottom-right corner. This icon slides out a pop-up which lists every active conversation you’re a part of currently. Clicking on any of them will open up the conversation. This is the quickest way you can jump from one conversation to another in the web application.
