Workstation Connect System Requirements

4 min read

Kaamfu is built to deliver precision work control across desktop platforms used by distributed, hybrid, and enterprise teams. Our Workstation Connect (WSC) desktop application is actively supported across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments — with expanding support for more OS variants underway.

✅ 92.5% of global desktop usage is currently covered by WSC (as of July 2025)

We’re committed to increasing platform coverage over time, with upcoming support already in development for newer and emerging environments.

Frequently Asked Questions #

  1. Does Kaamfu Workstation Connect support macOS on Apple Silicon (M1/M2)?
Yes. Kaamfu WSC includes a native build for Apple Silicon and is tested on both M1 and M2 chips starting with macOS 14.5 and above.
  2. What permissions does Kaamfu request before a session starts?
Before each session, Kaamfu presents a clear Work Agreement screen showing all permissions being activated. These include:

    • Log keystroke and input activity
    • Log screenshot capture
    • Log status and no-activity states
    • Log browser URLs, network events, and window changes
    • Log shift timings and payload-level artifacts
Users must review and agree to these terms before the session can begin — ensuring full transparency and informed participation across both Windows and macOS platforms.
  3. Is Linux support actively maintained?
Yes. Kaamfu WSC is fully functional on major Linux distributions including Ubuntu, Fedora, Redhat, CentOS, and Debian. We’re continuing to expand coverage across additional variants based on customer demand.
  4. What happens if my OS isn’t listed yet?
You can still sign up and access Kaamfu’s web platform, but WSC may not work until support for your OS version is rolled out. We’re actively working to expand compatibility and welcome requests from users and teams who want to be included in early access programs.
  5. What happens if a user tries to run Kaamfu on an unsupported OS version?
If a user attempts to log in from an unsupported OS version, they will see an error message informing them that their operating system is not compatible. This ensures that only verified environments are used for accurate tracking and performance.
  6. Does Kaamfu support Windows 32-bit systems?
Currently, Kaamfu WSC is optimized for 64-bit systems to deliver reliable performance and scalability. While 32-bit support is not available today, we’re evaluating broader compatibility needs as part of our platform roadmap — and we’re always open to hearing your team’s requirements.
  7. Will Kaamfu support mobile devices in the future?
Kaamfu is currently focused on full-screen desktop environments where visibility and work context are critical. That said, we recognize the growing need for mobile companion access — and early designs for mobile visibility tools are under active exploration.
