An Overview of the Kaamfu Web Application

2 min read

When you first log in to the Kaamfu web application, the space resembles an empty canvas ready for you to create magic. We have put a lot of thought into its design, packing the space with unique features that aim to enhance productivity at your workplace.

Once you’ve signed up on Kaamfu, you’re taken to the web application where all your work will be managed. From workspaces and boards to tasks and members, this is where you will create, assign, and track your projects. Let’s look at the main components of the web application.

  1. Time Panel
    #

This is where your Shift time and Task time will be displayed. A user can see how much time has elapsed since they shifted in as well how much time they have spent on a task. Other features here include pause and resume the shift, pause and resume a task, and stopping a task.

  2. Navigation Panel
    #

This is your workspace and it is divided into three broad sections –

    • Work – This is where you can create departments and tasks. It displays Spaces, Boards, and Items.
    • Activity – All task-related and conversation notifications are displayed here.
    • Team – Here you can access backlogs and conversations of individual users.
  3. Project Management Panel
    #

The Work section in the Navigation Panel opens up to three areas –

    • Spaces – This is where you can create department-wise workspaces like Operations, IT, Sales, Marketing, etc. based on the departments in your organization.
    • Boards – Within a Space, you can create Boards that represent on-going and future projects. For instance, a Space called HR can have boards like Recruitment, On-boarding, Payroll, etc.
    • Items – This corresponds to tasks. So when you want to create a new task in a Board within a Space, you simply add an ‘Item’ in this section.
  4. Settings
    #

Here is where you can edit your profile details like your name, country, and profile picture.

  5. Directory
    #

Clicking this icon will open up the organization’s directory of employees, from where you can begin individual conversations or create groups for a project or a task.

  6. Productivity
    #

Here, members can view the time they’ve spent across different tasks throughout the workday. This section also gives organization owners and supervisors a detailed view of the time stamps of all workers.

  7. Workline Panel
    #

One of Kaamfu’s unique offerings is the Workline space where all employees can be viewed along with their statuses like active, paused, shifted out, etc. This panel is designed to display members in the descending order, starting from the organization owner to their downline. For those within a team, this space will display their upline and downline.

  8. Screen Capturing
    #

Take a screenshot easily within the web application or any other open tab on your browser. This feature also allows you to capture screenshots of another application running on your computer or your entire screen. Furthermore, you can edit the screenshot and easily share it in a conversation in the web application.

  9. Activity Queue
    #

Never again miss a task update or a new message! The Activity Queue sets Kaamfu apart from other applications, allowing users to navigate conversation and task updates at just a click.

  10. Conversations
    #

This panel gives you access to all conversations that you’ve been added to in the workspace. Say goodbye to sifting through an entire conversation to find a specific discussion. Kaamfu’s contextual chat keeps all task-related communication neatly organized within each task.

Now that you’ve familiarized with the main components of Kaamfu’s web application, it is time to begin creating your workspace. Go on, explore the environment, and let Kaamfu take your workflows to the next level.
